Marian and I feel much more in debt to you, and very grateful, for the tremendous patience and care you showed us through the many consultations and planning sessions before we even signed a contract. We are also appreciative of the standard of work set not only by you, personally, also your workers in building and completing our house. We feel we have a house to be proud of, as well as one we will be comfortable in for many years.

We decided to go with Neil as our builder for our dream home because of his professionalism and quality of workmanship. As first time home builders we had many concerns and Neil spent countless evenings answering questions and offering different scenarios. One of the deciding factors was when he took us to view a project he was currently working on. The particular house we visited was on a lake with a loft which was customized by Neil. This day trip filled us with the confidence that Neil was the right choice for our project. We knew then, that Neil could make our home, our own. Other builders tried to talk us into building houses of their choice and their design. Neil was willing to build what we wanted and he had the knowledge and skills to adjust our plans without having to pay additional fees for an architect.

As first time contractors, Neil gave us great advice. He recommended many sub-contractors and helped us to be prepared for the many stages of construction. The quality of workmanship was superb. Other contractors commented on the fact that the measurements of the rooms actually matched the plans. We visited our job site daily. Neil was always willing to listen to concerns, questions and make changes when necessary. He even cut a few corners, literally. We have four angled walls which opens up our floor plan considerably.

There were never any unpleasant surprises, Neil was always fair in regards to costs and also willing to take on extra tasks or recommend someone who could help with them.

After initial construction of our house, we contracted Neil to build a two story boat house down by the lake. Once again the project was completed without problems. Just last fall, we hired him back again to build a double carport to our existing structure.

If and when we are ready to downsize, we would not hesitate to contact Neil again. All three of our building projects have gone smoothly and have been completed with quality of workmanship and professionalism.

We had decided to build a new cottage and we looked at many options and different companies.

This brought us to Neil Palmer. Neil has been incredible to work with. His knowledge of construction was amazing. He showed us areas to save money and areas where we should invest our money. We were very impressed with Neil’s work habits, the way he kept us informed and up to date. He hired people who were experienced and who too did an excellent job. We were so impressed working with Neil.

We moved into our cottage (home) labour day weekend. As in any new construction there were a few things that needed to be fixed but actually very few things. Anytime we had a problem, Neil responded punctually and had the item fixed in a timely manner.

As is the way of the world, we are quick to complain when things go wrong, but do not often enough let people know when they do things well. As such, we felt we had to write to you to let you know how happy we are with our new home and how pleased we were to work with Neil.
